Dan Amare is an up-and-coming singer-songwriter and producer from South London, UK, of Caribbean, French and English heritage, who has independently worked to share the stage with artists like Sasha Keable and perform at notable venues like Omeara London. 

His latest single, ‘Brainstorming’, is set for release on September 1st 2023. This single is a blend of genres, featuring R&B, Caribbean, Afroswing and pop elements. The guitars give a groovy, funky feel while the 808s and drums give the song a sexy swing.

Production-wise, ‘Brainstorming’ is an ode to Dan Amare's years spent growing up in Dominica in the Caribbean, and features guitars and co-production from a Dominican guitarist Mekhel Lee, who tours internationally with big soca, Afrobeats and reggae stars like Farmer Nappy and Timaya.

The lyrics tell the story of a deep obsession with a love interest, to the point where one's mind is totally absorbed by thoughts of this person. Dan shared his thinking behind the lyrics, “I definitely tuned into my unhealed, toxic co-dependent side when it came to the lyrics of this song. I found myself constantly brainstorming on all the different things we could do together, and also my mind felt so clouded that it felt like a storm was going on in my mind. Thankfully, I think I'm a lot better now! And I think we've all been there before, experiencing co-dependency.”
